I was pulled over for speeding, they arrested me for obstruction. I was in king county jail for 2 days and 2 nights. I never got a speeding ticket or been charged with a crime.
- Pulled over after being PACED going 40 in a 30 (I was not speeding)
- officer then harasses me, his focus is not on the speeding ticket but instead is aimed at trying to provoke me.
- when the officer that pulled me over goes back to his car to run my info, I call 9-1-1 and ask the operator to send another officer or supervisor down for me to deal with
- while I'm wrapping up the call with the operator, officer Steiger and his fellow officers approach my driver and passenger doors and this happens.
- 0:15 seconds in, one officer asks the original officer, "what are we doing?" the officer, Brett L Schoenberg responds with, "TAKING the driver out" as you can see he doesn't care to explain the situation because he knows their intentions.
0:25-0:37 second mark, this is where officer Casey Alan Steiger approaches the driver door (with completely open window) opens the driver door and instantly reaches in and grabs my phone from my hand and throws it on top of the car, he is so close to the opening of the driver door, there is no room to step out of the vehicle, it is clear he did not intend for me to walk out of the vehicle, he wanted to pull me out.
0:37 - you can clearly hear me say, "why are you grabbing me"? right before he pulls me out.
0:38 - 0:42 - watch as officer Brett L Schoenberg runs from the passenger side of the vehicle to the driver side vehicle to get a kick in, kicking me in the crotch area.
0:44 - 0:59 - you can clearly hear one officer tell officer Casey Alan Steiger, the officer that pulls me from the car, "just relax...Steiger just relax ok?" then you hear Steiger say you talking that shit? then he says, "what the fuck you doing man"? then the same officer that said relax to steiger, says chill!....then steiger says, "u fucking swing on me?" then the same officer again says, "chill the fuck out!"
knowing that the officer was out of line, this was a stop for speeding. (never got a speeding ticket or charged with a crime)
1:07 - 1:44 - the officer that told Steiger to chill out, then goes over to the passenger in my vehicle and talks to him, you can clearly hear no hostility in neither of our voices even after this happens, we both remain calm, listen to what he has to say.
1:34 - 1:38 - the officer questioning my passenger says we came down here on call from his fellow officer, my passenger then tells him what really happened, the driver, me, called 9-1-1 because the officer that pulled me over was harassing me.
1:45 - officer talking to my passenger says, "I stood over there and watched, it looked like your partner RESISTED GETTING OUT OF THE CAR" how does this work? how do you resist, while exiting a vehicle at your own will? unless your being pulled out.
2:10 - 2:15 officer tells my passenger if your gonna hang around i ask that you don't call nobody (meaning don't pull out your phone to record I'm guessing) was the officers request legal?
