"If you're going to stand here and shout on my sidewalk, you will go to jail." Anoka, Minnesota police own these streets

I was waiting for friends on a public sidewalk on main street in Anoka, Minnesota 7/31/2011 when police and sheriffs deputies ordered me off of 'their' sidewalk.

    Unlike what the officer claimed in the video, the sidewalk is not his—it's ours—the people who pay his salary and feed his family.

    And if the sidewalk is still open to the public then the guy holding the camera doesn't have to leave.

    Just another video showcasing an unchecked, non-hero cop believing he can do whatever he wants.

    "I know my rights" Obviously not. All that crap about public sidewalk is a joke. Those officers are there conducting a lawful investigation. If you interfere with that AT ALL, doing something that requires their attention at all, you ar obstructing. It doesn't matter where you are standing. you're lucky the officer gave you a warning, he didn't have to. You DO NOT have the right to stand there when he asked you to leave. If that peace of the sidewalk is in an area where they are conducting an investigation, it DOES become HIS sidewalk temporarily. Maybe you should spend a little more time reading the law rather than ignorantly bitching about those risking their lives to enforce it.

    He got arrested because he disobeyed a direct order from an officer. They even warned him that if he didn't leave that he would be arrested.
